Physical property describing the characteristic temperature of the amorphous phase of a polymer (epoxy resin). Below this temperature, the polymer is rigid. Above this temperature, the polymer becomes flexible. The glass transition temperature of a polymer (e.g. epoxy resin) is generally between 80 and 90°C (for polymerization at 20°C). It is possible to improve the Tg of a polymer by thermal curing.
