Definition
Composite of carbon fiber and resin in the shape of a strip. These are carbon fiber reinforcements with an elastic modulus of about 130 GPa. An infused carbon strip is generally composed of 60% carbon fiber and 40% epoxy resin. The carbon fibers composing an infused strip have a high crimp (very detrimental to the elastic modulus and failure mode).
