Pultruded carbon strip

Definition

Composite of carbon fiber and resin in the shape of a strip. These are carbon fiber reinforcements with the best elastic modulus (approx. 170 GPa). A pultruded carbon strip is generally composed of 70% carbon fiber and 30% epoxy resin. Standard dimensions range from 10 to 150mm wide and 1.2 to 2.8mm thick. High modulus pultruded strip manufacturing (approx. 200 GPa) is possible.
