In 2005, four students from ESITC Metz embarked on a somewhat crazy challenge: building a concrete canoe to participate in the Heidelberg international regattas. An ambitious research project combining technicality, innovative materials... and a lot of elbow grease!
Among them, Jordan Champlon, now manager of TES Technifor. Even then, he was exploring the possibilities of concrete from an original and demanding angle.
47 kg for 4.5 m long, fibre mesh, a rethought mix with glass microspheres instead of sand... and a good hundred hours of work for a result as solid as it was ingenious.
A memorable experience that says a lot about the passion and high standards we still bring to our projects today.
