21 years ago, TES Technifor embarked on an exceptional mission at 133 metres altitude, on pier no. 4 of the Millau Viaduct!
- The objective: To carry out 4-metre deep core drilling straddling a steel tube Ø150*4 mm thick, with surgical precision, to take over the reservation of a prestressing cable essential to the stability of the structure.
- The constraint: to complete this critical intervention in less than 70 hours, to ensure that this concrete colossus withstands the relentless assaults of the wind. The countdown had begun... and the team had no room for error.
