Specialist construction works often take place out of sight and become largely invisible once a project is complete. At the Grand Hôtel de la Reine in Nancy, however, a series of videos provides an opportunity to follow the different stages of TES TECHNIFOR’s work.
Overlooking Place Stanislas, this historic building is undergoing extensive renovation. TES TECHNIFOR is bringing together several areas of expertise: micropiling, underpinning, drilling and works associated with the construction of the future lift shaft.
Specialist works in restricted spaces
The building’s layout is one of the main challenges of the project. Some operations must be carried out in particularly tight spaces, requiring equipment and working methods to be adapted to the existing structure.
Videos filmed throughout the project reveal operations rarely seen by the public and help explain the role of specialist construction works in renovating and strengthening a historic building.
More than 57,000 views for the project videos
Since work began, content featuring the Grand Hôtel de la Reine has generated more than 57,000 combined views across Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.
This interest also brings attention to the skills, techniques and operations that will no longer be visible once the renovation is complete.
TES TECHNIFOR is continuing its work alongside its partner France-Lanord & Bichaton, the lead contractor of the consortium.
A further project update will be published soon, highlighting the scale of the works undertaken.
