In TES TECHNIFOR’s fully renovated premises, this coffee table is more than a piece of design furniture. It is a former compressor. “This compressor was the beating heart of the company,” explains its founder, Patrick Champlon.
In its early days, TES mainly carried out underwater works. Having enough compressed air was essential: without a compressor, successive dives were impossible. Just one job a day… sometimes fewer.
This machine changed everything. “I could keep diving,” Patrick recalls. “It filled the cylinders while I was underwater.” More air available, more working hours and more projects completed. “That’s what allowed us to double, or even triple, our activity.”
Now repurposed and installed in the new premises, it symbolises the ingenuity of those early days, the hard work and the ability to find solutions that kept the company moving forward.
A piece of history that his sons, Lilian and Jordan, chose to preserve.
