Late last year, we were called for a critical intervention in a shopping centre, where a purlin threatened to collapse in the heart of the structure. A true commando mission, with less than 48 hours to reinforce the structure and ensure the safety of the premises!
To successfully carry out this structural reinforcement operation, every step was planned, verified, rehearsed and optimised for perfect execution. The intervention required the deployment of two mobile cranes (130 and 160 tonnes) as well as a 57-metre negative platform – the roof not being trafficable in its current state.
After securing the premises and dismantling the suspended ceilings, our TES Technifor teams reinforced all weakened purlins using metal cradles.
A huge thank you to the Mediaco teams for their expertise and responsiveness, as well as to the project managers of this intense project: BET JSC and BET CLAIR'EQUEAUX.
